This is how you ADOPT a puppy!

So you want a puppy? You just can't help it. You want the little bugger to grow up with your kitten... or your baby (baby and puppy seem like a good idea right)? What do you want? Half of you want Pit Bulls (and think surely there are 100s of puppies at your local shelter, because you really don't want to support the breeding of a so often killed breed). The other half of you want little fluffy balls of attitude (surely there are 100s at the local shelter, because you really don't want to support the pet store).

You begin your search. You are SHOCKED to find that not only are local shelters NOT overrun with puppies, but when you find one you LOVE and just HAVE to have, well, it turns out there is a whole list of others that feel the same way about the creature. You try and you try, but all those perfect puppies are taken. Then you email me. "Please help me find a puppy". I tell you to be patient, and that I will help you find the perfect life to save; and I do...but in your eyes, a dog such as this one is not perfect:

#577 PITBULL MIX FEMALE 7MONS TAN..approx. 40lbs..(This pup is suffering from demeodex mange which is treatable and NOT contagious to people or other animals.she is currently getting treament but will need more)
She is very sweet, just wants to curl up in your lap, she is great with dogs she met..she was found with another dog..she is submissive, great on leash and very affectionate..

Her name is simply a number. She is 7 mos. old and in danger of dying for no reason (other than she looks a little funny right now). She loves people, she loves to curl up and cuddle. She would love your other dog too (and I'm betting your kitten or baby). I receive emails like this from all over the country every day..... I also receive emails from you, potential adopter; that you have found the perfect puppy....and he was only 500 dollars from a breeder, or on sale for 800 from the pet store. I also get an email from you asking for my help in the raising of your pup, or in a year, to help re-home it. Will I help you? Probably; but not without a good "I told you so".
